'The Lokum' didn’t start as a restaurant idea. It started as a feeling; one of those things you taste once on a trip and then spend years wishing you could have again.

For us, that feeling was Turkey. Real Turkey. Not the postcard version.

We wanted the food that comes out of family kitchens… passed down quietly, guarded almost, because the recipe means something to the people who hold it.

When our chef arrived from Turkey, he brought with him the traditions he was raised on, the rituals, inherited techniques, and the flavours shaped across generations. That heritage forms the foundation of our Anatolian cuisine.

Every dish at 'The Lokum' starts with a moment of quiet intention. Ingredients chosen by touch, by instinct, by that small jolt you feel when something is just right. Spices crushed low and slow, releasing a warmth that rises softly. Meats left to rest until they yield, just enough, under the slightest pressure. We cook close to the flame, and we let the fire leave its mark. A hint of smoke, a whisper of char, flavours that don’t rush forward… they unfold. They wait for you to notice.

Our space reflects the same intention. The lighting, the textures, the small details we obsessed over. It’s a space designed so you can slow down, breathe, and experience Turkish hospitality in its truest form.

'The Lokum' is our way of bringing a little Turkish magic to Bangalore. It's food that carries a whole country in its heart.

Welcome. We’re really glad you’re here.
